Welcome to iRangefinder! Getting started is really easy, just follow these instructions to begin measuring!

Set your height, or the iPhone height above ground, in the settings to calibrate your device before measuring.

Just point to any object (at ground level) to know its distance from you, it’s really accurate! Just try not to move too much while measuring!

*** Note: stand when measuring and keep your iPhone at your chest for best results. ***

**** Do not use the zoom, could distort the measurements. ****

**** If you make a measurement and you are not at ground level, such as a balcony and you want to measure the distance or height of an object in the road, in the settings, you must add the value of your height and the height from the ground. (eg, 1.70 m + 3.00 m in the case of a first floor of a house, total 4.70 m) ****

The first interface button lets you lock the distance for your measure and start measuring the height of the object from the ground to any of its points.
After pressing the button just tilt up your iPhone (trying not to change its height from ground) to measure the height of any other points of the object.

The second button lets you measure the height of any section of the object, once you first locked the distance with the first button.

The third button is for resetting values, so you can take a new measure.

That’s it! Just press the camera button to start!

The measurement is done by pointing the crosshair to the ground. Do not point the viewfinder on the opposite wall, but point you in the ‘angle that is formed between the wall and the floor. The floor must be level and not on an inclined plane, for example, will not work properly if you want to measure the distance between the iPhone and an object that is located in the lower part of a downhill or on a floor with a slope of a few centimeters (iPhone and object must be on the same floor).
